A few words on The Simpsons and Toon Boom. On The Simpsons, we don't use Toon Boom Studio we use Toon Boom Storyboard Pro and Toon Boom Pencil Check Pro. It seems like Toon Boom Studio is a much more complete program than the one we use.
What do I personally think of these two programs? I like them a lot. The only thing I would say is that, if I was to own the program and use it at home, I would much rather have a Cintiq to use it with rather than just import drawings I did outside the program.
Hey guys! Just found this new podcast and checking out the site. It's great what you're doing and ghettomation is the best stuff in the world! So much fun, you've inspired me.
To add to the Toon Boom comments, I recently reviewed Toon Boom Animate Pro for the animation magazine over here in the UK and it is a GREAT package. It is definately all in one, and from the looks of things Toon Boom Studio seems to follow in the same vein, just with a few features tailed back. You would definately be able to complete your own cartoons in it though, and it is more animator friendly in that it uses terminology and a workspace set up which is closer to the traditional workflow.
Keep up the great work and I hope you like some of my animted experiments! I'm still learning so be nice. www.adamoliver.com
